چکیده
This paper presents a detailed finite element modeling scheme to simulate the cyclic response of RC columns considering low-cycle fatigue and bond-slip reinforcement. The includes triaxial constitutive model recently proposed in literature concrete failure under loading. For steel, commonly used uniaxial is enhanced account for bar rupture using new criterion, which has been validated with data from tests on reinforcing bars. behavior vertical bars modeled zero-thickness concrete-steel interface element. bond stress-slip law that predicts deterioration caused by generalized slip demands, tensile yielding compression damage concrete. models are experimental large-scale column pile specimens exhibited flexure-dominated responses. accurately lateral force–displacement specimens, provide peak strain demands along longitudinal similar those measured experimentally. Sensitivity analyses also conducted study effect assumptions related behavior.

Numerical Simulation of FRP-Jacketed RC Columns Subjected to Cyclic Loading
This paper presents a study that forms part of an ongoing project on the seismic retrofit of reinforced concrete (RC) structures with fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP). In this study, a stress-strain model for FRP-confined concrete subjected to cyclic loading was implemented into OpenSees to support the performance-based design of FRP jackets for the seismic retrofit of RC columns/structures. متن کاملFinite Element Analysis for CFST Columns under Blast Loading
The columns of frame structures are the key load-bearing components and the exterior columns are susceptible to attack in terrorist blasts. When subjected to blast loads, the columns would suffer a loss of bearing capacity to a certain extent due to the damage imparted which may lead to their collapse and even cause the progressive collapse of the whole structure . The concrete-filled steel col...

In the present study, non-linear finite element analyses are carried out on the slender reinforced concrete columns wrapped using CFRP composite with different cross-sectional shapes having the same area. Thickness of the CFRP wraps, concrete compressive strength, corner radius, loading condition, slenderness ratio and column size are the main parameters of this study. According to this, four d...
متن کاملThree-Dimensional Finite Element Modeling of Stone Column-Improved Soft Saturated Ground
Installing stone columns in the ground is an effective improvement technique to increase the load bearing capacity and reduce the consolidation settlement of the loose or weak cohesive soils. In addition to the increase in the bearing capacity and reduction in the settlement, stone columns can accelerate the dissipation rate of the excess pore water pressure generated by the surcharge, which ex...
متن کاملFinite Element Modeling of Laminated Composite Plates with Locally Delaminated Interface Subjected to Impact Loading
This paper investigates the effects of localized interface progressive delamination on the behavior of two-layer laminated composite plates when subjected to low velocity impact loading for various fiber orientations. By means of finite element approach, the laminae stiffnesses are constructed independently from their interface, where a well-defined virtually zero-thickness interface element is...
